A ball screw consists of a screw spindle and a nut integrated with rolling elements that recirculate through a return mechanism. It is an equipment that designed to convert rotary motion into linear motion, commonly used in industrial machinery and precision machines. The ball screw is a high efficient product. Compared with a conventional sliding screw, it has drive torque of one-third or less, which makes it more suitable for saving time and motor power.

Following elements you should pay more attention to:

1. Accuracy grade.
According to JIS standard, 6 accuracy grade of ball screws are , from the highest precision to low precision, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, C10. Higher precision is better for working efficiency and accuracy, however, also needs more time and more money to manufacture. You should select a ball screw with suitable accuracy grade for your machine. The grade is distinguished by the rule that any 300mm length of ball screw lead, the deviation is controlled within a certain range.

Based on the size of nut, you could decide the length of ball screw shaft and the parameters of shaft end, both supported unit (BK) and fixed-side support unit(BF). Before purchasing a set of ball screw, you should have a comprehensive understanding of its performance. The radial force and revolving speed is determined by velocity distribution(accelerate or decelerate) and the load(static load or dynamic load).
